For this performance course, dancers must have experience in Brazilian Samba.
This style of samba dance specifically works towards gaining co-ordination, isolation and freedom in performance. From beginners to advanced, it is a fun and free style of dance we encourage anyone to try. You will move to the sound of Brazilian Batucada drums and learn how to articulate your body to the rhythms. Not to be confused with Ballroom/Latin American Samba, which is a partnered dance, Brazilian Samba is a solo rhythmic expression of dance. It is not only a great cardio work out for the body you will find a new sense of freedom in movement.
